1. The Truman Show (1998)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Many critics believe that this hilarious — albeit creepy — take on our society\u2019s obsession with entertainment, predicted America\u2019s reality TV craze. <\/span>The Truman Show<\/span><\/i> follows insurance salesman Truman Burbank (Jim Carey) \u00a0through his day-to-day, though he doesn\u2019t have any idea that his entire life is a scripted television show. This movie is absolutely worth a watch 20-years later!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018)<\/span><\/h3>\n

A \u2018Netflix original\u2019 movie, <\/span>A Futile and Stupid Gesture <\/span><\/i>is a biographical comedy that follows the rise of the National Lampoon media empire overseen by comedy writer Doug Kenney, played by SNL alumnus Will Forte. If you\u2019re a fan of <\/span>National Lampoon\u2019s Christmas Vacation <\/span><\/i>and the classic comedy <\/span>Caddyshack<\/span><\/i>, you might enjoy watching this hilarious origin story. Hepburn plays a young girl who is working as a high-class escort when she meets a young man as he\u2019s moving into her apartment building. He is having an affair with an older wealthy woman in order to support his \u201ccraft.\u201d These two gold-diggers are falling for each other, but will either give up their aspirations to be together?<\/span><\/p>\n

5. The Godfather Trilogy (1972, 1974, 1990)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s forget that <\/span>The Godfather Part III<\/span><\/i> ever happened (yikes!) and focus on Part I and Part II. Okay, so this isn\u2019t a movie but this \u201cNetflix original\u201d series is hosted by Jerry Seinfeld, the show\u2019s creator, is definitely worth a watch. While the content is now exclusively available on Netflix, It was a popular web series for 9 seasons before it found its way to Netflix. The show is exactly what it sounds like: Jerry Seinfeld picks up a famous comedian \/ comedic actor in a classic car, they go for coffee, and he interviews them about their career. <\/span><\/p>\n
