Stay Warm and Get Happy

Finally, The Pajama Company has an official song. “The Pajama Song” was written and recorded by Alex Badanes, the son of The Pajama Company founder and president Ellie Badanes and the lead guitarist in the pop band Love Via Dance Machine. Check out the song and music video below. Warning: It’s catchy!

Congratulations To CNN Hero Robin Lim

We’re thrilled to congratulate this year’s CNN Hero of the Year, Robin Lim!

As a midwife, Lim has helped thousands of low-income women have safe birthing experiences in Indonesia.

We’re especially excited about the recognition of Lim’s hard work because maternal health is an issue near and dear to our hearts. Earlier this year we announced a partnership with Every Mother Counts, an advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase education and support for maternal and child health.

In her acceptance speech at the awards Lim spoke about the dangers women face giving birth around the world every day.

“Today on our Earth, 981 mothers in the prime of their life will die — and tomorrow again and yesterday,” she said. “And I’m asking you to help change that. We don’t even know how many babies are lost, but all of us can help change that.”

Today we are supporting the critical work of Every Mother Counts by donating 10 percent of every sale at The Pajama Company. #MaternalHealthMonday

Results Are In: Flapjacks Most Popular In November

For months, our adult footies have by far been the most popular item at our store. But something changed in November, and a new item challenged the footy reign.

Now that the month is over, the results are in. Flapjacks, the wonderfully-retro long john pajama, have moved into the lead.

These onseies with the “bear bottom” that come in adult and children sizes were the most popular item bought at The Pajama Company in November. Now the question is, will they continue to hold the lead in December?

NY Mag Fashion: “Pajama Hour is Any Hour”

It’s official: Pajamas are not just for sleeping anymore. Of course, we don’t need any convincing. But it’s always nice to see another magazine making a case for pajamas as high street fashion. Today we hear it from New York Magazine. They posted a couple brilliant slideshows of people looking stylish on the streets of New York City in high end pajamas (extreme high end, we’re talking $1,000 and up for a pair of pj’s).

Even if you’re not planning to spend that much on your sleepwear, the slideshow still reveals a few style tips for any of us looking to work pajama tops or bottoms into our daily wardrobes.

Try pairing funky pajama pants with a classic structured top and blazer.

Wear a pajama top over a solid color dress.
